Unconventionally, Us

With the continuous growth in the central Texas area, follows continuous competitor growth. Competition isn't always about the level of skill set, but products offered and cost as well. Thus, we've decided to try an unconventional business model.

 1. Limited services; instead of offering all the services we're good at, we decided to limit our services to what we're great at. Those services include:

  • Window installation and replacement

  • Entry door installation and replacement

  • Patio door installation and replacement

  • French door installation and replacement

  • Siding (Hardie board and vinyl)

  • Fine carpentry

2. Buh-bye office; yes, that is correct. We no longer have an office! From 2014 - 2016, 94% of our inquiries came from an e-mail, website inquiry or text message! Additionally, our office was set without a customer ever stopping in. We decided to try a remote style office, and it has been great. The extra bonus is the savings we pass down to you!

3. No office phone number; yes, you read that correct as well. Making the choice to work remotely meant having  to shut down the office phone line. Don't worry. You can e-mail us at inquire@kgkhomeimprovements.com and  someone will get back to you as soon as possible. We're quick.

4. Subcontractors not needed; At KGK Home Improvements, LLC, we do it all. The only 3rd parties ever involved are our   partnered vendors. We're the point of contact, we come on-site to estimate the project and we complete the project. We're not the middle man and we don't send your project off to someone else.

5. Our customers are as important as our coworkers; one of our goals is to provide high quality workmanship to each and every customer. We don't believe that promise is obtainable without a great team of coworkers! Thus, we have a promises to them as well. One promise is to compensate them fair wages according to the market we're living in. Yes, we're in business to make a living, but we refuse to nickel and dime our coworkers to do so. We can't uphold our promise to our customers without upholding our promise to our coworkers.

6. We're not the least expensive; our prices may not always be the lowest, and we may lose a few potential customers as a result, unfortunately; but we need to stay true to our beliefs. After reading #5, I'm sure you can begin to paint the picture. In addition to fair wage compensation, we believe in PTO and paid holidays. It's a way to show appreciation to our hard working coworkers. Our appreciation has contributed to little to no turn over and responsible and respectable coworkers! We also believe skill comes at a cost. We strongly believe in "you get what you pay for", going back to #5.

Our small, yet experienced, hardworking and talented team strives to ensure nothing less than exceptional customer service and workmanship. Our crew consists of skilled workers who carry knowledge and advanced ability in various areas within the home remodeling industry, allowing us to master the services we offer to you; each member brings an expertise skill that makes our team uniquely designed to complete your project to precision.

To simplify the process, we narrowed our product selection down to our top choices based on award winning quality in the Texas weather extremities, sustainability, cost, "customizability", and warranty. Without affiliation, our brand choices are Andersen®, Masonite®, Milgard® and Therma-Tru®.

Our outstanding team is best suited for those who have a general idea of what they're looking for, as we don't have a showroom — yet. We're also well suited for those who can trust our recommendations based on the information and/or concerns they've shared.

WARNING: You may have noticed "professional" isn't an adjective listed to describe our business. Honesty—is however. Please allow us to clarify.

As noted, we're a "family-owned and operated business"—children not excluded. We apologize in advance for occasional noisy backgrounds during a phone call. It may be a noisy job site. On rare occasion however, it may be unexpected baby squeals or toddler tantrums. You may be lucky enough and hear both! We're actively working on our ninja skills—although, we're convinced our children will likely be grown and off to college by the time we master them. We much prefer mastering the whole window and door thing. You're welcome, Austin.

Thank you dearly for supporting our small business!

(Note: Window installations are also referred to as a window replacement or window retrofit).
